The Vagina Monologues 2008 - Until the Violence Stops!
Location:
O'Donnell Auditorium, Student Services Building
Time: 7:30 p.m. (There will be an American Sign Language Interpreter at the February 28th performance.)

Tickets: $5 - Students    $10 - General Admission

All proceeds will be donated to the Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center.

The Third Annual Women's HERstory Essay Competition
Deadline for Entries: February 22, 2008

Open to all EKU undergraduates. Submit a 250-word essay on any women's/gender history topic by February 22 to the Women's Studies Office in Keith 120. Prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place winners.

Apr. 3  "Gentleman or Beast: The Double-Bind of Contemporary Masculinity "

Keen Johnson Building, Teaching & Learning Center

This faculty development opportunity is open to faculty members who are interested in expanding their awareness, understanding, and knowledge of sexism as it impacts males. Dr. Bordo will be discussing her book THE MALE BODY, and participants are encouraged to be familiar with its content and basic gender issues. This will be an informal presentation with lots of time for discussion and questions & answers. There will be a book signing, and lunch and refreshments will be provided.
