Charlotte Schmidlapp Scholarships

The EKU Women & Gender Studies Program invites applications for two Charlotte Schmidlapp scholarships of $500 and $1,000 awarded during the fall semester. The $500 scholarship is available to any registered EKU student. The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to any EKU Women and Gender Studies Minor or Certificate Student.

Please return the form, along with an essay of apprixmately 500 words explaining your interest in Women & Gender Studies and its relation to your educational and/or career goals, to the EKU Women & Gender Studies Program (Keith 121) by 4 p.m. on February 13, 2009 (Due to the inclement weather in January, the deadline has been extended to February 23).

The Grise-White Scholarship

The EKU Women and Gender Studies Program invites applications for the Grise-White scholarship competition.  English majors and Women and Gender Studies minor students with a 2.75 GPA are eligible to enter the competition.  The work must be an original piece of poetry or other creative writing. Deadline for submissions is April 18 at 12 noon. The winner will receive $300 deposited into their student account during the Fall 2009 semester. A panel of Women’s Studies and English faculty will review the entries and declare a winner. The winner will be announced the first week of May.
